Dancer in Red

This image was captured on a Nikon D810 and 70-200mm f/2.8 lens on a sunny lunchtime in November 2014. For a long time, I have wanted to take photographs of dancers. My friend Claire is a fitness coach, but kindly agreed to try a few moves for me. She’s laughing because she’s overbalanced and is actually falling to her left, which I think helps to add dynamism and movement to the image.

Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance!
