Gurpreet & Suresh – Sikh Wedding

The final wedding I shot with Samir in 2015, was the amazing Sikh wedding of Gurpreet & Suresh. The itinerary was actually spread over two days, with ceremonies and celebrations in Bedford, Gravesend, Ilford and Canary Wharf.

On the Saturday, I started out very early in the morning in Bedford to capture a few images of Suresh as he prepared to leave home. In the Sikh tradition, there were a few traditional ceremonies to perform, but once complete, everyone jumped in their cars (a very stylish white Rolls Royce for Suresh) and headed to the Guru Nanak Durbar Gurdwaras temple in Gravesend for the marriage ceremonies. While I had been with Suresh in Bedford, Sam had been with Gurpreet in Ilford. When I met her, she looked stunning in a beautiful red bridal dress with intricate gold braiding and was dividing her time between grabbing a little breakfast and letting Sam and I take some shots of her on the steps inside the temple.

On Sunday, we were at the East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf for a spectacular reception party. Despite a chilly wind, we took them out for a few shots in Jubilee Park and South Dock.

Here are a few of my favourite images of our lovely couple during a spectacular weekend.
