This workshop was on London’s Southbank close to The National Theatre. I’ve just recently been reading Lindsay Adler’s book on posing models, assiduously studied all the chapters on posing women, creating soft, elegant lines to the body etc., then turned up on Saturday to find two of the three models we had to shoot were guys! 🙈 That was a bit of a curved ball, but think I managed to adapt (guys are all about strong angles I think – yet to go back and read those chapters). Anyway, great fun and I’ve one or two images I’m really pleased with.
At low tide, it’s possible to climb down the steps of London South Bank onto the shore of The Thames. It’s a pretty interesting place, full of shells, flotsam, some huge animal bones and the strewn antiquities of bygone times. It’s also a pretty cool place to grab some great images.
Sophie was the only female of three models shooting with us on Saturday. I can’t begin to tell you how cold it was down there when the wind started blowing! On both days, the routine was pretty much the same… the model would throw off their coat, I’d rattle through a few frames and then we’d quickly wrap them up again before their teeth started chattering! Suffering for art again! 😂
