On workshops with a group of fellow photographers, you usually only get a very short amount of time to work with each model. Most togs just start firing away (nothing wrong with that), however I’m convinced that you really stand a much better chance of a taking a half decent image if you take the time to build a relationship with your subject, explain what you like in photography and what it is your aiming to capture. I often feel a bit panicky as my time is slipping away and all I’m doing is chatting! 😂 I told Bournemouth beauty Claudia that I was really into those slightly more edgy fashion poses right now, and she’s such a pro she just understood straight away. I might take fewer images overall, but I feel that the time invested is really important. ❤️

We did a circuit of some of the prettier streets not far from Waterloo Railway Station making best use of the coloured doorways and stone walls which characterise this area.
