Had to race off and get my train back to London, so this image at Hever Castle was somewhat rushed. Kelly is stood on the drawbridge below the portcullis (the oldest working example in the country, apparently). Feel sure Anne Boleyn must have stood in the very same spot at some point during her young adult life. Maybe even Henry VIII too! Don’t believe in ghosts, but you can definitely feel the atmosphere in some of these historic locations. 👻
